The reason the Durban July is happening now at the end of the month and not at the beginning of July as usual, it's becuase the biggest thing was happening right here in our Counry the 2010 World Cup!!

Durban July could not be hosted on the first weekend of July because the world cup was still happening....It was just impossible for the events to be hosted concurrently.

the reason why it takes place in the last weekend of July this year is because of the recently ended FIFA WORLD CUP. the durban july is traditionally held during the 1st weekend of july.

the durban july was postponed because of the world-cup( which was taking place, during the the time which the durban july usually is. the 1st weekend of july)
DURBAN JULY COULD NOT BE HOSTED ON THE FIRST WEEKEND OF JULY BECAUSE THE WORLD CUP WAS STILL HAPENNING....IT WAS JUST IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE TWO EVENTS TO BE HOSTED CONCURRENTLY Vodacom Durban July was posponed because of Soccer World Cup. Durban July didnt take place on the date that we normally used to due to the World Cup event. Many eyes were focused on the World Cup it wouldnt have been fun to host 2 interesting event on the same date. the durban july is held in the last week because the 2010 fifa world cup was still on in the country in first week. Its taking place on 31 July because the 2010 Fifa Worldcup was still on at the time its normally takes place And the focus was on World cup. Its taking place on 31 July because the 2010 Fifa Worldcup was still on at the time its normally takes place And the focus was on World cup. due to the 2010 FIFA SOCCER WORLDCUP with its laws stating that no other event should be held during the time of the worldcup until it ends. The Vodacom Durban July was then forced to be postponed till the 31st of July when it usually takes place during the first week of July... |
